Flower Pokemon

Pokemon can be sorted in many ways. They can be grouped by Type, Egg Group, Generation, Ability, or moves they learn. One category often overlooked but updated every generation is flower Pokemon.

Flower Pokemon wear cotton or blossoms on their heads. They are not just pretty; they can also be deadly. This article will list the toughest flower Pokemon. It will impress any trainer.

On March 24, 2024, William Quick revised: As we anticipate the next Pokemon Legends game, we reflect on the diverse Pokemon we can still train. From small creatures with eyes to strangely human-like ones, Grass-type Pokemon have long featured floral designs, highlighting their strength.

All  Flower Pokemons

Shaymin (Sky Forme)

The Blossoming Pup Soars

Shaymin

If Land Forme Shaymin isn’t strong enough, Sky Forme Shaymin steps up. Its base stat total of 600 focuses on boosting Special Attack and Speed while keeping HP and Attack solid.

It uses Seed Flare as its signature move and benefits from Air Slash and Earth Power. Healing Wish knocks out Shaymin to fully heal a teammate. Shaymin Sky Forme stands out as the top-power Pokemon due to its power and sacrifice.

Florges

The Sophisticated Power Flower of Elegance and Class

Florges

Florges stands out with its stunning design among Grass-type Pokemon. It boasts a base stat total of 552 and comes in a range of vibrant colors. In battles, Florges not only excels but also adds beauty to the action.

Considered one of the top Fairy types, Florges shines with its impressive 154 Base Special Defense. It can use Synthesis and Wish when its HP is low. Wish also heals Florges’ teammates, making it a valuable medic for the team.

Additionally, Aromatherapy cures all status conditions for the team, often leaving opponents frustrated and struggling to cope.

Shaymin (Land Forme)

Fluffy Petals: A Puppy’s Blossoming Coat

Shaymin (Land Forme)

Shaymin is a top grass-type Pokemon with a base stat total of 600, typical for a legendary. In its Land Forme, all of Shaymin’s stats are 100. It uses Natural Cure, a fitting ability for a nature deity.

Shaymin stands out with its special move, Seed Flare. This move has a power of 120 and can lower the opponent’s Special Defense by two stages 40% of the time. Shaymin also relies on Synthesis and Rest to stay strong and heal during battles.

Venusaur

Discovering the Frog-Like Flower Dinosaur

Venusaur

Venusaur is a popular Grass-type in Pokemon. It’s not just for nostalgia. It’s strong in battles, even in Generation 7. In games like Pokemon X & Y, its Mega Evolution greatly boosts its Defenses.

Venusaur likes sunny weather. Its Speed doubles with Chlorophyll. Using Growth raises its Attack and Special Attack by 2 stages. So, keep Venusaur in the sun!

Tsareena

The Predominant Diva

Tsareena

Tsareena might resemble the mangosteen tree, known for its tasty fruit, and the Russian queen’s title. It’s a favorite at beauty parlors in Alola and dominates battles, too.

Mastering moves like Rapid Spin and Power Whip amplifies its threat. Its Queenly Majesty ability proves ideal in Double Battles, blocking priority moves aimed at allies.

Roserade

The Sophisticated Masked Duelist

Roserade

In Generation 4, Roselia finally got the evolution line it needed. It starts with Budew then evolves into Roserade. Roselia has a total base stat of 505. Its sharp thorns make it a top Spikes user. It can use Technician, Natural Cure, or Poison Point abilities.

Roserade handles water types well with Leaf Storm (boosted by STAB) and covers other dangers with its many moves. This rose packs a prickly punch, so be cautious!

Eldegoss

A Wispy Bundle of Wisdom

Eldegoss

In each new generation of Pokemon, fans eagerly await new flower-themed Pokemon like Eldegoss. This Cotton Bloom Pokemon is both strong in battles and adorable, which are important qualities for trainers when choosing their team.

Despite not having the highest HP, Eldegoss possesses Sleep Powder, Aromatherapy, Rapid Spin, and Synthesis, which are particularly advantageous for Grass-type Pokemon.

Additionally, its ability Regenerator restores 1/3 of its maximum HP when switched out, adding to its appeal as a valuable choice in battles.

Lurantis

This Blossom Overwhelms Foes

Lurantis

Lurantis stands out not just for its unique design but also for its flower blend, possibly inspired by an Orchid Mantis and Orchid flower. It uses its decent Defense stats and moves like Synthesis, Aromatherapy, and Defog effectively.

Its ability, Contrary, reverses stat changes, turning defense drops into increases. Defog, often overlooked since Generation 4, becomes its key asset by clearing hazards like Spikes. Having Lurantis on your team is definitely a blessing!

Bellossom

Partner in Petal Dancing

Bellossom

Bellossom surprises those who underestimate its battle strength. It uses unique moves like Quiver Dance and Strength Sap, which set it apart. Strength Sap restores Bellossom’s HP using its opponent’s Attack and lowers the opponent’s Attack.

Only 12 other Pokemon can learn Strength Sap. Quiver Dance boosts Bellossom’s Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. These moves make Bellossom versatile in various teams and strategies.

However, Bellossom faces challenges due to its Grass type and average stats. It risks getting knocked out early without boosts. Yet, with the right chance, Bellossom can excel.

Lilligant

The Spirited Flower Offspring

Lilligant

In Generation 5, there are several plant-based Pokemon, with Lilligant standing out as particularly elegant. It evolves from Petilil using a Sun Stone.

Lilligant is more admired for its beauty than its strength, though it has decent stats (a total base stat of 480) and can be effective as a setup sweeper.

The movie Quiver Dance enhances Lilligant’s battlefield effectiveness, but it ranks lower in competitive play due to facing numerous threats. Supporting Lilligant with appropriate Pokemon can help it wreak havoc on opponents.

Cradily

The Fossilized Flower Phantom

Cradily

In Gen 3, many expected the fossil choice to be obvious: An armored dinosaur with claws. However, Cradily, despite being less popular, has proven its worth in battles with its sturdy plant-like structure.

Resembling a dinosaur, Cradily boasts strong defensive and above-average stats, though it lacks in Speed. It’s a stubborn Pokemon that uses its Suction Cups ability to stay in battle and might even have Storm Drain to draw in Water-types and boost its Special Attack.

What’s surprising is its wide array of moves, including Grass, Rock, Poison, Normal, and the damaging Water move Brine.
